Even before it opened in October 2001, the arrival of the new Browns restaurant in Leeds generated great interest in this fast growing and exciting city. Situated in the imposing setting of the1930s banking hall of the former Leeds Permanent Building Society on the Headrow - now impressively converted - the restaurant is spacious and there is a large comfortable and friendly bar area.

Browns adjoins the Light, Leeds’ newest leisure and entertainment complex comprising a 4 star hotel, health club, multiplex cinema, bars, cafes and shops.

From tables by the row of magnificent arched windows, you can look out down the Headrow towards the Leeds Town Hall – one of the finest views from any restaurant in Leeds. Alternatively you can have a quiet drink in the old wood panelled manager’s office which had been beautifully preserved; or you can go ‘alfresco’ on the terrace overlooking the central courtyard of the Light.
