In the most elegant Georgian city in Britain, Browns Bath is set in a suitably elegant, grade II listed Georgian building. The location, opposite the abbey, next to the guildhall and close to the rugby ground, is at the very heart of Bath’s unique cultural identity.

The building was once a police station and magistrates’ court and the enormous entrance doors are big enough to allow through horse drawn vehicles.
There are tables outside which are very popular in the summer for soaking up the sun and the Bath city centre atmosphere. Inside, the restaurant is spread over two floors: the ground floor and a graceful mezzanine with superb views out of the large windows and down onto the bar area. The mezzanine can also be booked for private events for up to 100 people. Find out more about this.
The atmosphere in both bar and restaurant is entirely in keeping with the city: elegant, slightly genteel, yet lively and cosmopolitan too.
