Shopping, arts, live shows, museums, open air bus tours and wonderful countryside – Manchester is a wonderful city with lots to offer visitors.
As you would imagine, the shopping is superb – the renowned Afflecks emporium sells an eclectic range of new, second hand and vintage clothes and the Northern Quarter is home to countless independent fashion and record stores.
A guided walk through Manchester is an excellent way to explore the city. You could take a ghost walk around the centre or through Manchester’s Green Corridor, which connects many of the beautiful open spaces around the city.
Stockport Air Raid Shelters are an intriguing network of underground tunnels, carved into the natural sandstone cliffs in the town centre. They offer a fascinating glimpse of what life was like in 1940s war-torn Britain.
The Royal Exchange Theatre stages a wide programme of performances every year. It’s an amazing building – a seven sided, glass walled capsule, literally suspended from marble pillars with a circular stage that gives great views wherever you’re sitting.
Manchester has a whole raft of places of interest to visit – Adlington Hall is one of the most beautiful country homes in the country and Albert Square at the heart of Manchester displays fine Gothic style, with the town hall towering over the city centre.
So come and visit Manchester – and remember to join us at Browns for delicious food, sparkling cocktails and a warm welcome at the centre of this amazing city.
