Browns Butlers Wharf

ENJOY THE BUZZ OF BROWNS

ANY TIME OF DAY

Butlers Wharf was once a thriving centre for the tea trade and boats from the east docked here with their cargos.

Today, it’s an up-market part of London with a laid-back feel – and Browns is equally relaxing and welcoming, with a gorgeous decked terrace and great views across to Tower Bridge.

We have two private dining rooms available for parties, wedding celebrations or corporate events.

Come and join us in this lovely part of London for coffee, brunch, dinner or one of our legendary cocktails.

About Butlers Wharf

This is the heart of the South Bank – one of the highlights of any trip to London and a popular weekend destination for thousands of Londoners.

Tower Bridge is an incredible landmark; you can actually go on to the high level walkway 42 metres above the River Thames and take in the stunning panoramic views. It also houses several exhibitions - ‘Great Bridges of the World’ features more than 20 bridges, each representing a breathtaking feat of engineering.

The Clink Prison Museum has a wealth of artefacts, including torture devices, and a history that dates back to 1144. It gives a fascinating insight into the prison and its inmates – and you can even look up your own ancestors to see if they served any time there!

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre is a reconstruction that stands a few hundred yards from the original theatre. It opened for performances in 1997, and is dedicated to exploring Shakespeare’s work. Productions range from original texts to world premieres of new writing.

The Tate Modern is close to Browns, Butlers Wharf – and The Design Museum is right next door. Established by Terence Conran, the Museum champions creativity and celebrates the talent of the world’s best designers and architects.

No trip to the capital would be complete without a visit to the Tower of London. William the Conqueror began building this massive stone tower in the early 1080s and over the centuries, it’s been a fortress, a palace – and a prison.
