Browns Brasserie & Bar Old Jewry used to be the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. From the outside its an impressive, imposing building – on the inside, it’s a stylish, welcoming space with a friendly, bustling atmosphere.
Located close to the Bank of England and Bank underground station in the heart of London’s financial centre, we open at 7am weekdays for breakfast meetings or to set you up for a day of site-seeing. The restaurant is also available for private hire on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays – and our Saturday pianist is not to be missed.
Join us for a relaxing, brasserie brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, made with quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Or if you don’t fancy a meal, our expert, friendly teams will look after you in our stylish cocktail bar area, where you can enjoy a crafted cocktail (or two), a glass of fine wine or Champagne and graze on some delicious bar snacks. However you spend your time in our London based restaurant, you can be certain it will be time well spent.

As you’d expect this area is full of businessmen and women, but with its many amazing buildings, museums and art galleries, there’s plenty for visitors to see and do too.
Featuring a selection of butter brioche rolls, home baked buttermilk scones with clotted cream and a variety of mini desserts including Victoria sponge, there is plenty of choice to help while away the afternoon.
From time to time our venue is even graced with the talents of a pianist — with a repertoire that'll truly set the tone for the evening. For more information please contact Browns Old Jewry on 020 7606 6677.
