Sustainability – Our main focuses

With the UK committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, at Browns, we have been dedicated to evaluating our carbon footprint and setting out a strategy that greatly limits the impact it has on our beautiful planet.

We’re always seeking new ways to reduce the environmental impact of our restaurants and are immensely proud of all we’ve achieved up to this point. However, we’re also aware that there’s still plenty more to be done.

Every single day we’re implementing small changes, determined to continue making improvements and sustainable choices, along with setting goals that will hopefully benefit the world around us.

o Net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 (Scopes 1, 2 and 3).

o Achieving zero waste to landfill by 2030.

o 50% reduction of food waste by 2030.

What we have achieved so far

o We’ve combined our efforts with FareShare to redistribute surplus food to communities in need.

o Our restaurants are powered with 100% renewable electricity.

o 96% of our operational waste is diverted from landfill.

o Browns is one of the founding members of the Zero Carbon Forum, who are committed to emissions reduction and the development of a Roadmap to Net Zero.
